Hey y'all,

I am so excited to introduce my journal entries to the new site! A place to put down my thoughts and activities sounds good. I love sharing with all of you and I hope you'll do the same- whether sending emails back and forth or meeting up at the gigs. :)

Right now I am putting my nose to the grindstone and trying to get the live band together for the 2007 shows! I can't wait to rock out with you all with the energy of a live band, and I can tell you that once it's all together you are going to be in for some of the most exciting performances yet. I am so grateful to have such talented musicians signed on already- we are holding auditions for lead guitar right now and once that position is filled we'll be ready to rock'n'roll.

I will also be getting back into the studio again within the next week to continue recording the originals. Some demo sound clips will be posted soon for you to take a listen to and tell me what you think. Then before too much longer there will be songs that I wrote posted- those are the tunes that I'm most excited about, and we're working hard to record all the music and vocal parts on those so that a cd can be released this year. Yay!

Also this month, rehearsing like crazy for the North American Country Music Association International's (say THAT three times fast!) annual competition. I'll be competing for New Country Vocalist of the Year and New Country Entertainer of the Year in my age division. Then the talented Miss Chelsey Bellnier and I will compete for the title of New Country Duo of the Year! Right now we're in the beginning stages of rehearsal for that- choosing the perfect song, choreography, and (girl moment here) outfits. ;) That competition will be going on the first week of March in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I'll let you know how it goes!

Lastly, since the gig schedule has slowed, I'm hoping that I can catch up with you at The Flying Machine this month- I'll be there on the 9th and the 23rd. Those are the only shows for February so we'll make it count. :) Lots of new songs and maybe even some Valentine's fun on the 9th.
