Hi everybody,
WOW! Lots of news to report this time around. :) The last couple of months have been hectic, with no signs of slowing down in June!
First of all, let me just say that I am having a BLAST keeping in touch with you. The MySpace site and fan club are both more interactive than ever…and I’m loving it! I am looking forward to staying in touch and seeing you at the shows this summer. It’s going to be great. :)
We are recording our debut mini-album RIGHT NOW and the whole band is so excited for the release next month. You have given us great feedback on the original songs you hear at our shows, and now there will (finally) be a hard copy debut. The five song cd will be available first to our fan club members, and then ready for purchase through the website and at every show. I am pumped about it! ;) We are so proud to have Brad Cox (www.bradcoxonline.com) producing the album- please visit his website and take a listen to his own great music.
On another note, we have added a new band member to the BlackJack Ketchum family. Mr. Robert Todd has stepped in as an additional guitarist, dobro, mandolin, and pedal steel player. We are SO happy to have him with us. Be sure to stop by give him a big "Howdy!" at the next show! :D
The June issue of Our Town Magazine is out and they have featured an interview about my music projects (yay! lol!) . The issues of Our Town are complimentary; hope you’ll pick one up locally or visit www.ourtownmag.org to check it out! The launch party for the issue is Tuesday, June 10th, 6 p.m. at Urban Flats at the Avenue Webb Gin in Lawrenceville. If you’d like to attend, the party is open to the public.
