Awards season and more!....

It has been forever since I checked in with you all. It's exciting to sit down and fill you in on everything that's happened since the last entry, and everything that is coming up within the next couple of months. As always, thank you so much to everyone who has come out to our shows and showed your support. YOU are as much a part of the band as anyone else; there is no way we could get out there and do what we do without you. So THANK YOU!
In September, we made it out to Lefty's Pub in Buford a couple of times and had a great night. Suwanee Day 2007 was a HUGE hit- there were thousands in attendance and we had the great honor of opening in concert for The Average White Band. SO awesome! October was the month of festivals and we showed up at a ton of 'em! Pumpkinfest, Sherman's Last Burning BBQ Cookoff, and AuburnFest were a lot of fun. Sherman's was extra special because it was there that BlackJack Ketchum auditioned for Band of the Year for the GA Country Music Association....but more about that later. :) At the end of the month we headed up to Ten Mile, Tennessee and rocked the house at Euchee Marina on Watts Bar Lake. It was a BLAST, and we're going for it again up there in December.
On the 17th of November we will be attending the Georgia Country Music Awards in Dalton, Georgia. This will be an anxious night; we're up for Band of the Year, and I'm up for Entertainer and Vocalist of the Year. You never know what's going to happen with these awards shows- there is a plethora of great talent in the GCGMA and no matter what the results, I'm looking forward to the winners and the great entertainment that evening. And...girl moment... I'm looking forward to getting dressed up for a night on the town. :p
I've probably given you about all you can handle so far (haha), but on a more personal note, I've had a few health problems lately that have been pretty scary. I just want to say thank you to the people (other artists, fans, friends, and family) who have been so supportive and helpful. You rock.
